Cynthia Boersma


Cynthia Boersma, 75, of Jackson, Minnesota entered into eternal rest of Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Osterberg Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, with Pastor Cyndi Hopp officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Jackson following the service.

Cynthia Jean Boersma was born in Mankato, Minnesota, on May 1, 1945, to Milo and Carol (Graff) McCoy. She went to high school in Jackson and attended Bethel College in Mankato and Minnesota West Community College.  On November 6, 1966, she married John Boersma and they had one daughter together, Julie. Cynthia moved back to Jackson in 2005 into her childhood home and spent many years faithfully active in her church, Our Savior’s Lutheran, where she particularly enjoyed the Workshop/Quilting Group and her church friendships. Cynthia enjoyed soap operas, reading, going out for coffee with her friends and taking care of her pets.  Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Julie and preceded in death by her parents.  Blessings and peace be to her memory.
