Tamra Jean Kolander, 57, of Jackson, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Osterberg Funeral Home in Jackson, Minnesota.
Tamra Jean Kolander was born on February 5, 1962 to Eugene and Carolyn (Brown) Kolander in Jackson, Minnesota. She was the second child of six children. She was baptized at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jackson, Minnesota. Her family moved from Jackson, Minnesota to Canoga Park, California and later to Washington State where she attended school.
In 1992, she gave birth to her only son, Jesse Kolander. Tami moved back to Jackson in 1995 where she worked at Ag-Chem then later at TSE. In 2000, she met the love of her life, Todd Eves. Together they shared the love of music & the outdoors. She attended various music gigs that Todd performed in. They travelled up north on occasions staying at their cabin enjoying the peace & quiet while taking in the hummingbirds that fascinated her so. She had a green thumb for the flowers & plants in which Gerbera Daisies were a favorite. Tami was known to be a fantastic cook, whipping up tasty dishes from scratch. Even though Tami was a private person, she loved spending time with her grandsons, Cooper and Asher, who brought her joy. Tami passed away on May 19, 2019 at the age of 57.
Tami is survived by her son, Jesse Kolander and his girlfriend, Brookelyn Thornburg, Grandsons Cooper and Asher Kolander all of Dunnell, Minnesota. Her sisters, Michelle (Michael) Meade of Stanwood, Washington, Tiffany McCutcheon of Stanwood, Washington. Her brothers, Eric (Tiffaney) Kolander of Frederick, Colorado and Sean (Dawnn) Kolander of Snoqualmie, Washington; Step-Mother, Su Kolander of Birch Bay, Washington; Step-Sister, Leanne Gargett; Step-Brother, Zach Dilley both of Birch Bay, Washington; numerous nephews and one niece; great-nephews and great-nieces and other relatives and friends.
Tami preceded in death by her partner, Todd Eves; both parents, Eugene Kolander and Carolyn Kolander; a sister, Dawn Kolander and a Stepbrother, Greg Gargett.
