Robert Lee Neal, son of Robert Roy and Iola (Sayles) Neal, was born on January 21, 1943 in Jackson, Minnesota.  He was baptized and confirmed at the First Presbyterian Church in Jackson where he was a lifelong member.  Robbie graduated from Jackson High School in 1961 and worked road construction as a road grade operator before honorably serving in the United States Army from 1964 through 1966.  On November 5, 1966 Robbie was married to Carol Fransen at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Jackson.  He continued to work road construction with Iowa Road Builders until the mid-1970s, when he moved to Alpha where he farmed.  Robbie and Carol divorced in 1990 and he returned to Jackson where he helped plow the snow for the city for many years while continuing to farm.  Robbie passed away at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the age of 76 years, 5 months, and 11 days.

Robbie was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, riding Kawasaki most of his life before moving on to Hondas, and was one of the first people in Jackson to trike out a bike.  He traveled all over including motorcycle trips to Freeport Texas in the winter, to Sturgis for decades, and a few trips to Daytona.  He spent a lot of time at his cabin on the north side of Big Spirit Lake in Iowa.  Robbie also raced snowmobiles when he was younger and was a skilled racing mechanic.  Robbie served on the FCA board for many years, including terms as president of the association.

Robbie is survived by his fiancée Kathy Tewes of Jackson, Minnesota; sons Bryon Neal and Paul (Rachelle) Neal of Jackson, Minnesota; daughter Lisa (Corey) Will of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; brother Gene (Mary Ellen) Neal of North Mankato; grandchildren Andrew Neal, Carin (Luke) Jensen, Natalie Neal, Zachary Neal, Caleb Will, and Chloe Will; and several nieces and nephews.
