Travis “T.J.” Clair Johnson

  

      Travis “T.J.” Clair Johnson, 33, passed away in his home on June 7, 2010 at Alpha, Mn.  Son of Gilbert and Diane Johnson, T.J. was born August 13, 1976 in Windom, Mn.   As a teen he developed a lifelong love of the outdoors.  He graduated from Windom High School where he was active in wrestling.

      T.J.’s passion in life was bow hunting and fishing on the peaceful sanctuary of the Richard Johnson farm on the Des Moines River south of Windom.

      Travis was a skilled craftsman of many trades which included masonry, sheet metal work, and carpentry.

      T.J. worked at Agco Corporation in Jackson for the last 15 years where he was a welder and a skilled painter.  He had many friends there.

      Over the last six years he lived with his best friend Kirsten.  They shared a love of animals on their hobby farm near Alpha.

      T.J. is survived by his parents Gilbert and Diane Johnson of rural Windom, sister Lisa (Randy) McCloud of Eden Prairie, sister Tonya (Nick) Muller of rural Windom, brother Kevin (Jennifer) Johnson of rural Two Harbors, three nieces and three nephews.

      A Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Windom on Friday, June 11th at 10:30AM.  Osterberg Funeral Home of Jackson is handling the funeral arrangements.

 

      His time with us was too short.  Our love for him will never end.  We miss you young man.  Till we meet again.
