John was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed hunting geese, and he had a true passion for fishing; on a nice day one could find him in his boat on the lake, with his pole in the water, enjoying the beauty of nature.  John enjoyed hanging out with his friends, watching the weather channel, and he most recently started watching UFC.  John had a nack for wrecking anything red, a trait he managed to pass on to his daughter Stephanie.  John was loved by his family and friends and will truly be missed.

John is survived by his two daughters, Stacey Becker, and her fiancé Mike Horn, of Lakefield, Minnesota; Stephanie Hass, and her fiancé Brad Kirchmann, of St. Louis Park, Minnesota; and his son Scott Hass of Jackson, Minnesota.  Also surviving are his one grandson, Dillon Becker, and his three sisters, Linda (Steve) Miller of Balaton, Minnesota, Mary (Clement) Hillesheim of Springfield, Minnesota, and Janet Knight of Madison, Alabama, and numerous nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, and several close friends.

Blessed be the memory of John Joseph Hass.
