Aldean LaVonne Lusk
ALDEAN L. LUSK, 82, of Jackson passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Jackson Good Samaritan Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Jackson with Father Peter Schuster and Father Charles Quinn officiating. Burial will be in the Good Shepherd Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday, 1-26-09, from 5 to 8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at the Osterberg Funeral Home in Jackson and on Tuesday – one hour prior to the service at the Church.
ALDEAN LAVONNE (SHOVER) LUSK was born on August 5, 1926 in Enterprise Township, Jackson County, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Lillian (Hageman) Shover. As a youth, she attended country school in District 27 in Enterprise Township. After her education, she worked on the family farm until she was united in marriage to James John Lusk on June 22, 1948 at St. Wenceslaus Church in Jackson. After marriage, they made their home in Des Moines Township, Jackson County. In 1979, they moved into Jackson. She became a resident of Jackson Good Samaritan Center on May 8, 2002, where she passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the age 82 years, 5 months and 17 days.
Aldean was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, where she had been active in the circles and the Catholic Order of Foresters. She had been a member of the VFW Auxiliary She enjoyed rummage sales and having coffee with the “R and R” gang. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and shopping. She raised a lot of vegetables that she canned and also loved to raise flowers.
Aldean is survived by 3 sons, Dennis Lusk of LeCenter, Minnesota, Donald (Laurie) Lusk of Belle Ville, Wisconsin and Gary “Gabby” (Sue) Lusk of Jackson, a daughter, Shawn Lusk of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, Norma Groshens of Sherburn, Minnesota, Phyllis (Delbert) Petersen of Sherburn, Minnesota and Barb (John) Eckert of Jackson and a brother, Kenneth (Lynette) Shover of Alpha, Minnesota.
Aldean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sisters, Alta Brinkman and Delores Brinkman.
